Of Bombs and Stars

As For The Stars...

Mother, prithee, tell will the stars come out to play?
Child, I pray you would you not seek such answers!
May I catch a cloud who will whisper the way?
To the land the stars all play!

No, my dear, my shining one,
This night no star's light will grace the sky;
Emptiness set moon and sun,
And has taught the stars to fly…

But Mother, why?
Perhaps they have only fallen, sleeping upon a hidden bed
Awaiting moon’s great sun burnt cry

Summoning them home from the land they fled…

Child, night and day, they bore our pain
The moon looked down and mourned us; the sun sorrowed at our dying plea
Until the Great Hand let loose their ties
As for the stars; they were each cast into the sea...

I've been in a writing mood, as of late. Granted, it's not my best work, but that last poetic line popped into my head while I was typing away at a science fiction storyline, and so I had to write a poem to fit it.
The Scarf is stockinette stitch, the yarn is just some I had left over from the many Jayne hats. I thought the bomb turned out pretty cute.

Yet Another Blog of Utter Laziness Insues....

What Heidi Means

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.

You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.

People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

What's Your Name's Hidden Meaning?

In knitting news, I've nearly completed my third Jayne Hat. I've taken to knitting quite rampantly these days, and I've great hope that that fact will be the motivation I need to actually finish a complete pair of socks. One day, when I get the chance to start, I vow to finish not one, but two socks!
I also finished a gray stockinette scarf, which rolled, but I'm liking how it looks, despite.
Desperate as I was to just knit, the yarn quality suffered, and I'm afraid that it's pure acrylic. Cringe. I know....
I figure that since I'm supposed to be making this scarf for a friend of my mother, and she didn't specify what exactly she wanted in a scarf, I may just use it as a model of what could be if made with better yarn.
That's all the new news I've got!
